We’ve found Glenlarge the best variety of garlic to grow in the subtropics. It’s a soft neck day neutral variety, plant this towards the end of March with harvest in Late winter to Early Spring (around 5.5-6 months).
Grown in South East Queensland, this listing includes:
- 2 x 30-50gram Bulbs (approximately 10-12 plantable cloves per bulb).

Store your seed in a cool, dark, dry spot with plenty of airflow until you're ready to plant (Mid-late MARCH). Away from sunlight, heat and moisture.

Sadly I had no success this year with Glenlarge or other varieties of garlic. I have repurchased and hope I will have success next season.
I received my garlic very promptly, and well protected from rigorous time in post. Of course I haven’t planted it yet, but it certainly looks good and healthy enough, to survive till such times when I do.
