Solanum Melongena
Tsakoniki Eggplant is a variegated looking eggplant with light purple and white striping. Fruit can get to around 24cm long and is cylindrical in shape. These ones need lots of water to avoid becoming bitter, if well looked after they are tender and sweet and are ideal for moussaka.
